Ignite 2019!

Satven Bangalore team had a wonderful and fun-filled excursion to the Golden Palms Resort on the outskirts of Bangalore, on 29th JUN 2019. The event was named IGNITE 2019!

And true to the name the entire, Satven team including our CEO and several of the Senior Management team, had an exciting and memorable day of indoor and outdoor activities, games, recognition and awards ceremony and good food all day long.

About 80 associates had come together to celebrate and unwind on a pleasant day, in the serene atmosphere of the open lawns, cool breeze and in surroundings full of trees casting shadows which kept the temperatures low. The games jockey and DJ team had done a great job of keeping the large gathering busy and all had enjoyed the activities which were quite interesting and fun to participate.

CEO Mr Rao S Vadlamudi and other senior leaders spoke on the occasion about Satven business, its journey till date and the current outlook of the engineering services space and Satven plans for the future. Associates had the opportunity to question and know about the future plans and opportunities for growth.

And as is customary, Satven had recognized several of the high performers – individual as well as teams, and given away awards consisting of cash rewards and certificates.

The evening was filled with pulsating music by the DJ and the stage was thrown open to some scintillating performances by external dance professionals and the Satven team.

The team had taken back many happy memories of the day, vouching to come back again next year, for another rocking get-together.

New Satven Chennai Office

Satven had moved its Chennai office to a larger space in Tek Meadows, Sholinganallur on the OMR IT Highway in Chennai.

The new office was inaugurated on 12th June 2019, by CEO Mr Rao S Vadlamudi in the presence of our esteemed customers from a large US OEM in India.

Our C.E.O. Mr. Rao S. Vadlamudi along with the customers lighted the ceremonial lamp marking the initiation of the new workspace.

New Satven USA Office

On 6th June 2019, Satven US office was moved to a new and larger space in Troy, Michigan. It is operational from 1st AUG 2019.

A pooja was organized on this auspicious occasion and the office was operational from 1st AUG 2019.

Indian Ambassador’s Meet in Hiroshima, Japan

Satven Japan had the privilege of hosting and organizing LUNCHEON RECEPTION in the honor of His Excellency Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Ambassador of India to Japan, on 20th April 2019 at Hiroshima.

It was thoughtful to invite fellow Indian community living in and around Hiroshima Prefecture to meet and interact with His Excellency on Indo-Japan perspective. About 100 members of the Indian community dressed in Indian Traditional Attire, gathered with their family in the central ward of Satellite Campus of Hiroshima Prefectural Cultural Center.

HE Amb Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma with his spouse Mrs. Gunjan Verma & Third Secretary Ms. Deepthi Alanghat, interacted with members of the Indian community and encouraged them to become agents in India-Japan growing economic partnership, especially in areas of Technology & Digital Cooperation.

A short Cultural Program was organized which was followed by Luncheon with delicious Indian dishes of Biryani, Poori-Chole, etc. The highlight of the cultural program was some feisty singing, playing Veena and Piano by Satven family members. The community is planning to establish Indian School in coming months in Hiroshima.

HE Amb presented a thought-provoking book by Gandhiji –The Story of My Experiments with Truth and advised everyone to follow the path of humility & peace.

A special thanks for the excellent efforts and coordination of Satven Japan team and volunteers who handled the display of posters, arrangements & reception of guests.

SAE WCX 2019 – Detroit

SAE International WCX2019: World Congress Experience

SAE International WCX™ World Congress Experience 2019 was held during 9th to 11th April 2019 in Detroit.

WCX Experience was the mobility industry’s most anticipated annual event which provided a great opportunity for more than 10,000 engineers, executives, OEMs, suppliers, decision-makers, disruptors and the entire spectrum of the mobility-engineering field.

Action filled three days of the event had provided great opportunities of expert-led technical education, peer-to-peer networking, a technology-driven exhibit floor and global mobility solutions that are shifting the marketplace. From IoT, Big Data and connectivity to automated and unmanned vehicles, and from safety, blockchain and powertrain to sustainability and cybersecurity, WCX covered several facets of the industry.

Once again Satven had a prominent presence at the 2019 SAE World Congress and also set up a booth to exhibit the engineering capabilities to the automotive world.

Career Central at WCX 2019:

Career Central was an ideal meeting place for talented professionals and students to connect with product innovators, attendees and recruiters. This year too Satven had set up a Career Fair booth to attract the best talent to meet the challenging needs of the Automotive customers.

This year the Sales and Operations team had had the opportunity to connect with the auto industry leaders, delegates, students and the visitors during the show.

ACMA Automechanika Seminar 2019

    ACMA Automechanika Seminar was held on 15th FEB 2019, at Pragati Maidan, in New Delhi.
This years theme of the seminar was :

‘Indian auto component industry gearing up for the future, leveraging opportunities’.

One of our Program Managers, Srinivas Yellu, from the CAE team represented Satven and presented some Future Trends in Crash Safety Simulations at a workshop which was organized by Messe Frankfurt & ACMA (Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India).

This seminar was attended by top industry leaders and had several experts in various speaker panels, who tackled a wide range of topics. This workshop helped us better understand industry trends and gave us business insights through pertinent case studies and panel discussions.

Connected Vehicles 2019

Innovative automakers, software developers and technology companies are coming together and leading the radical transformation of the global automotive industry. The auto industry scenario is highly volatile yet has opened up opportunities for new stake holders like IT, Telecom, component manufacturers, insurance, tech startups, policymakers and the OEMs to come together, deliberate and debate in order to come up with innovative ideas to create an ecosystem for sustainable technologies and policies, and lead the auto industry on its future growth path.

To help in this cause, Telematics Wire in collaboration with NASSCOM CoE – IOT, has come up with yet another international conference – Connected Vehicle 2019, which was held on 6th & 7th MAR 2019, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Bangalore.

    More than 1000+ delegates had come together during the two days to discuss and debate on varied topics like:
  • Telematics for Connected Vehicle
  • Emerging Technologies
  • Automotive in IoT
  • Connectivity
  • Maps & Locations
  • The secure connected vehicle
  • ADAS & Autonomy, etc.
The deliberations had provided good insight into topics like V2V & V2I connectivity, vehicle cybersecurity, locations and maps services and opportunities, ADAS, vehicle IoT, vehicle autonomy to name a few.

Also the deliberations touched upon the emerging business models for the connected vehicle ecosystem. Various distinguished dignitaries from Government, industry bodies and academia had participated in the event.

Satven was the Badge Sponsor at the event. Satven Corporate Communications team had setup a stall to connect with the delegates and showcase the latest capabilities in Connected Car, Auto Electronics, ADAS and IoT areas. Several delegates from Nissan, Mahindra, Scania, Volvo, Bosch, Tata Motors, etc. had visited Satven stall and evinced interest in the work being done by Satven.
    Jyothi Kumar, Manager Mechatronics, was one of the panel members on the discussion topic: Vehicle telematics.
Satven team consisting of Mohan Desu, Novi TP, Parameshwaran Iyer, AjayGoutam, Praful Patil, Amit Vikram, Vignan Kuppili and Ravi Gupta participated in the conference.

Daimler India Manufacturing Expo – DiME 2018

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) Manufacturing Engineering team had invited Satven to participate in their prestigious Manufacturing Expo – “DiME EXPO 2018”, which was held on 12th DEC 2018, at their Oragadam Plant in Chennai. It was proud moment for Satven to be part of a select group of Daimler suppliers from across India, who were extended the exclusive invitation.

During the inaugural ceremony, Mr Satyakam Arya, MD & CEO of DICV, addressed the participants and exhibitors and briefed about the idea of hosting the manufacturing expo.

The expo was to enable Daimler and its supplier teams to come together under one roof, interact and experience the cutting edge Indian Manufacturing processes and emerging trends in the plant and production technology, the frugal engineering practices which are successfully implemented in India, where more is produced with lesser resources and minimal wastage, using local innovation techniques.

He is very clear that what works elsewhere like in the US, Europe, Japan, etc. may not always be suitable for Indian conditions, and so want to harness proven frugal engineering practices of Indian manufacturing. This contributes immensely to the idea of propagating ‘Made-In-India’ / ‘Make-In-India’.

Satven had setup a stall to showcase the Manufacturing Engineering capabilities and had the opportunity to interact with many Daimler Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams visiting the stall.

    Satven Japan Internship Program for Technical Cooperation & Market Development

      The Japanese Technical Cooperation & Emerging Market Development Program – PASONA – METI is part of the Japan Internship Program (JIP). JIP 2018 program was for a duration of 10 weeks starting from 11th SEP to 29th NOV 2018.

    The main objective of JIP – 2018 was:

  • Knowledge building aimed at new developments and expansion of overseas business
  • Improving awareness by working with foreigners and experiencing cross-cultural communication
  • Constructing networks and developing in-house systems in conjunction with overseas universities aimed at securing foreign talent
  • Satven Japan had offered internship training to bachelors from IIT and University of Carolina.

    The two graduates were awarded the internship completion certificates by JETRO.

    Indo-Hiroshima Club Aosaki Friendship Festival 2018

    Aosaki Community Friendship Festival was held on 9th and 10th NOV 2018 in Hiroshima.

    Satven Japan team which is part of the Indo Hiroshima Club had participated in the friendship festival and involved in a variety of activities with the Aosaki community.

    This is the 3rd consecutive participation by the Indo Hiroshima Club in this festival.

    Friendship festival fosters community pride, teaches people new things about Japanese culture and, strengthens relationships.

    Among the visitors on the day were a number of Mazda team members along with their families who were delighted to see the Satven team interacting and entertaining the Japanese community.

    All were treated with delicious Indian snacks and cuisine and had a chance to see the traditional clothing & accessories of the India people.
