Outbound Leadership 2017

A one day outbound leadership training was organised for functional heads and other key associates of Satven, during the Annual Business Planning meetings.
    The event focused on building high-performance teams by harnessing collective talents. This programme also included sessions offsite and adventure sports. During team-building activities there was a lot of camaraderie and creativity on display.
The main takeaways were time management skills, decision-making abilities and conflict management. The particpants also discussed cross-functional team collaboration and bridging execution gaps.

3-Box Strategy Sessions

3 Box Solution: A strategy for leading innovation

  • A 3-day workshop on our 3-Box model was held on March 5-7, 2017 in Dream Valley Resorts for our functional heads, business development managers, project managers, and a few other key associates. This is the third session in the series of workshops to make our organization future-ready.

    Prior to this, a one day session for Project Managers and Project Leaders was organised on March 4 at The Park, Hyderabad.
      In it, many business cases of how innovation can happen in an organization in a changing landscape were discussed.
    The 4-day training program on 3-Box framework was conducted by Prof Viren Lall and Mr Neil Marshall from Change School, a UK-based management consulting organization. The sessions included long-term strategies for better user experience involving the Box-3 model. How to work in cross functional teams to reach tangible milestones was a vital learning.

    Rangoli 2017

    Satvenites got together for a grand contest at our Hyderabad office to create stunningly resplendent rangolis. Many of the floor designs were theme-based with tastefully contrasting colours.
      The associates, like true artisans, were so immersed in the activity that they didn’t even keep track of time.
    This time BDM team was also present on the occasion to savour the visual treat of the colourful rangolis.
      Later the rangoli creations were judged by the BDMs and the prizes were given to the winning teams.

    Mazda Marathon

    Mazda celebrated the 52nd edition of “The Ekiden Road Relay”, which was held in March 2017 month. This event is hosted by Mazda annually at Hiroshima.
      The relay race saw a bunch of enthusiastic participants from Satven Japan as well. The participants ran on a 16.3km-route.
      The event was held in 1966 for the first time with an intent to communicate with and understand the needs of local communities. Over the years, it also has helped to improve camaraderie between colleagues.
    This year saw around 2000 runners from 298 teams, both inside and outside Mazda. It was inspiring for the runners to see their colleagues on the track, running together.

    Japanese Culture Orientation by Prof Naotaka Hirami

    Professor Naotaka Hirami from Hiroshima University visited Satven Hyderabad to conduct a session on Japanese culture and Transnational Communication. He spoke about Japanese sensibilities in business and Japanese culture at large.
      The associates learnt the Dos and Don’ts of dealing with clients from the ‘Land of the Rising Sun’.

    Automotive Engineering Show 2017

    The three day “Automotive Engineering Show” in its 10th edition, concluded on 23rd Mar 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. This show is the key industry event for showcasing the state of the art and future technologies for the automotive manufacturing sector in India.
      Several companies from the auto industry had exhibited their products and demonstrated some of the cutting edge manufacturing technologies for the automotive world.
    Satven set up a stall at the show to connect with the customers and also to participate in the seminar and workshop conducted on the side lines of the show.
      The theme of the AES Seminar was “Convergence of Technologies in the Automotive Plant”. The workshop was on “Surface Engineering in Automotive Industry”.
    Automotive industry professionals from companies such as Mercedes Benz, Bajaj Auto, JBM Auto, IAC Group, Endurance Technologies, Maruti Suzuki, Varroc Engineering, Tata Motors, and Honeywell Turbo Technologies and others had attended the event.
      Somasekhar Parvatha, Venkatraman Rengarajan, Parameshwar Iyer and Ajay Singh Goutam participated in the show and connected with several customers.

    Women’s Day in Chennai 2017

    On the eve of International Women’s Day, around 85 women associates of Satven in Chennai, gathered at the ‘Ideal Beach Resort’ in Mahabalipuram, Chennai, to revel in the Women’s Day celebrations.

    They enjoyed the fun filled activities specially arranged for them and played few interesting games that made all of them involve and bring their hidden talents to the fore. Later in the day, they had a wonderful flash mob followed by DJ playing some scintillating music.
      Few women associates travelled from Satven Hyderabad to join the party in Chennai and have the fun on the occasion.

    SAE International WCX17: World Congress Experience 2017

    The ‘SAE International WCX17: World Congress Experience 2017’ show is one of the largest engineering shows in the world in which more than 12,000+ people participated. This grand show was held during 4 ~ 6 April, 2017 at Cobo Center, Detroit, Michigan, USA. This year’s show had plenty of activity offering Technical Sessions, Professional Development Seminars, Knowledge Bar, Leadership Summit, Tech Hub, Learning Lab and Innovation Market for the engineering professionals and students. The Technical Sessions were exhilarating and presented myriad opportunities to expand ones knowledge of the endless possibilities in today’s evolving mobility industry.

    Once again Satven had a prominent presence at the 2017 SAE World Congress and also set up a booth to exhibit the engineering capabilities to the automotive world.

    Career Central at WCX 2017: Where Talent Meets Opportunity. Connecting talent with product innovators, Career Central is an ideal meeting place for attendees and recruiters. Connecting talented people with companies looking to hire, it’s where established professionals and students alike meet to explore new job opportunities and match their skills with leading employers.

    This year Satven had set up a Career Fair booth to attract the best talent to meet the challenging needs of the Automotive customers.

    This year the Sales and Operations team along with Pam had done a great job is connecting with the delegates, students and the visitors to the Satven booths.

    Women’s Day 2017

    On the eve of International Women’s Day, women associates of Satven headed to Dream Valley, a resort on the outskirts of Hyderabad city.

    The women power was in full flow which was evident as they enjoyed few activity-rich hours of adventure sports. They made merry playing water sports, rain dancing and other games besides indulging in photo sessions during the day.

    Project managers and department heads were accompanied by their spouses to celebrate the event. We all know our female associates work smart and hard. They just revealed another less known side – they can party harder.

    SIAM Styling & Design Summit – 2017

    SIAM’s Styling & Design Group, has organized the Styling & Design Conclave with the theme – ‘Design for tech-enabled tomorrow’.

    SIAM Styling & Design Group’s main objective is to create excitement and interest about the automobile styling in India and support development of local styling professionals by creating opportunities and to provide encouragement.

    SIAM has been promoting capacity building in the area of styling & design of vehicles and has been striving to develop capabilities in India. This Group, amongst other objectives, seeks to build bridges between Design and Styling people in India and their global counterparts to share information of common interest and enhance mutual skills and capabilities through interactions.
      Several students had participated in the Styling Competition and displayed their designs at the conference. Their designs were judged by eminent professionals in Styling & Design and the awards were given to the best three designs.
    Satven team had participated in the 2 day event.
