To help in this cause, Telematics Wire in collaboration with NASSCOM CoE – IOT, has come up with yet another international conference – Connected Vehicle 2019, which was held on 6th & 7th MAR 2019, at Hotel Radisson Blu, Bangalore.

More than 1000+ delegates had come together during the two days to discuss and debate on varied topics like:
- Telematics for Connected Vehicle
- Emerging Technologies
- Automotive in IoT
- Connectivity
- Maps & Locations
- The secure connected vehicle
- ADAS & Autonomy, etc.
Also the deliberations touched upon the emerging business models for the connected vehicle ecosystem. Various distinguished dignitaries from Government, industry bodies and academia had participated in the event.

Satven Corporate Communications team had setup a stall to connect with the delegates and showcase the latest capabilities in Connected Car, Auto Electronics, ADAS and IoT areas. Several delegates from Nissan, Mahindra, Scania, Volvo, Bosch, Tata Motors, etc. had visited Satven stall and evinced interest in the work being done by Satven.-

Daimler India Manufacturing Expo – DiME 2018
Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) Manufacturing Engineering team had invited Satven to participate in their prestigious Manufacturing Expo – “DiME EXPO 2018”, which was held on 12th DEC 2018, at their Oragadam Plant in Chennai. It was proud moment for Satven to be part of a select group of Daimler suppliers from across India, who were extended the exclusive invitation.
During the inaugural ceremony, Mr Satyakam Arya, MD & CEO of DICV, addressed the participants and exhibitors and briefed about the idea of hosting the manufacturing expo.
The expo was to enable Daimler and its supplier teams to come together under one roof, interact and experience the cutting edge Indian Manufacturing processes and emerging trends in the plant and production technology, the frugal engineering practices which are successfully implemented in India, where more is produced with lesser resources and minimal wastage, using local innovation techniques.He is very clear that what works elsewhere like in the US, Europe, Japan, etc. may not always be suitable for Indian conditions, and so want to harness proven frugal engineering practices of Indian manufacturing. This contributes immensely to the idea of propagating ‘Made-In-India’ / ‘Make-In-India’.
Satven had setup a stall to showcase the Manufacturing Engineering capabilities and had the opportunity to interact with many Daimler Product Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams visiting the stall.

Indo-Hiroshima Club Aosaki Friendship Festival 2018
Satven Japan team which is part of the Indo Hiroshima Club had participated in the friendship festival and involved in a variety of activities with the Aosaki community.
This is the 3rd consecutive participation by the Indo Hiroshima Club in this festival.
Friendship festival fosters community pride, teaches people new things about Japanese culture and, strengthens relationships.
Among the visitors on the day were a number of Mazda team members along with their families who were delighted to see the Satven team interacting and entertaining the Japanese community.All were treated with delicious Indian snacks and cuisine and had a chance to see the traditional clothing & accessories of the India people.
13th Indo-Japan Annual Summit, Tokyo
Honorable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and Honorable Prime Minister of Japan Shri Shinzo Abe had signed an MOU to strengthen the ties between the two countries and mutually increase trade and the investment in both the countries.

Auto Expo 2018 – ‘The Motor Show’
- The theme of the 2018 show was “Co-Create, Co-Exist and Celebrate” which focused on ‘Entire Mobility Ecosystem’.
This year the show had showcased several passenger and commercial vehicles, EVs, hybrids, race cars and race bikes, three and two wheelers, apart from many concept vehicles and related advanced technologies, for the auto enthusiasts and professionals.
The auto show had portrayed a complex maze of safety, emissions and sustainability in a blueprint, to share the complex evolutionary cycle of the automobile industry.
Six special interest zones were introduced at the show:- The Future Mobility Experience zone had come up with the virtual reality experience of driving connected and autonomous electric vehicles on various roads to give a picture of future mobility.
- In comparison to Auto Expo 2016, this year saw the number of EVs surge 10-fold to over 50 electric and hybrid vehicles as car makers drew up plans for electrification of their fresh line-up of products.
- Kia Motors officially launched its brand in India and has plans to launch 16 electric vehicles by 2025.
Kia Motors plant is getting ready in Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, with an investment of $1.1 billion and a capacity of 3 lakh units. Kia will launch a compact SUV first in India by 2019.
- Kawasaki Motors had launched the famous NINJA bikes — Ninja H2 SX Standard and special edition Ninja H2 SX SE — at the Auto Expo 2018. The prices start at Rs 21.6Lakhs ex-showroom Delhi.
Satven had setup a stall to showcase the engineering capabilities at the expo this year too. Satven team had an opportunity to connect with customers, prospects, auto enthusiasts and industry professionals from several countries. Several prospective customers had visited Satven stall as seen in the pictures below.
IGNITE 2018!
- During 2017, Satven team in Bangalore had grown rapidly adding close to 90 engineers to the team. And that was another reason for the grand celebrations, which were held on 10th February in ‘Clark Exotica Resorts’, on the outskirts of Bangalore city.
The team could not have asked for better surroundings to chill out and unwind that day. They were quick onto the outdoor games and participated in events conducted by a professional trainer.
- Meanwhile our CEO Mr. Rao and the management team were there to join the team for a sumptuous lunch and the events thereafter.
The next few hours were spent inside the convention hall to keep the team cool and away from the afternoon heat.
- After few more events it was time for the evening DJ, song and dances. Many associates hit the dance floor and danced to the peppy numbers from all languages. To keep their energy high and to put up a spirited performance, the spirits and food was there for the asking.
IGNIZIO 2018!
- Satvenites in Chennai and the Management team had come together for a two day celebration on 3rd & 4th February, in Ocean Spray Resorts, located on the outskirts of Pondicherry, in Tamil Nadu.
After the ceremonial event a huge cake was cut to commemorate the 18th anniversary celebrations.
It was a sight to behold, when so many young and enthusiastic young men and women come together with their unique attitudes and colours, display their abilities and keep you mesmerised by their performances!
- Earlier during the day CEO Mr. Rao and the Leadership team had briefed the gathering on the Satven journey since inception in the year 2000 and also shared the future growth plans of Satven.
- The ‘Team Of the Quarter’ awards were given to 16 teams comprising of several associates in each team. These awards were given for the outstanding performance / contribution of the teams, to the customer projects and appreciated by the customers and management.
- The night was young, as can be expected, when so many young and energetic men and women get together. They partied hard till late in the night, never for a moment wanting to let go that feeling of joy and togetherness.
Next day was a beautiful Sunday. With the sun lazily rising above the Bay of Bengal, with its golden yellow light filling the early morning sky, we couldn’t ask for any more better sight, after a very eventful day and night.
While several were lazing in their beds and many out enjoying their morning walk in the green settings of the resort, several other associates and management team had joined the Zoomba session that was conducted by a professional Zoomba trainer. And so Zoomba it was in the morning by 7AM for the fitness freaks!The Zoomba trainer got the team into the rhythm by making them practice to the funky tunes of some English and Bollywood music.
After that several of them took a walk to the beautiful sea shore which is a stone’s throw away from the resort.- Back again to the resort and after quick showers the team had a sumptuous breakfast and left the resort to yet another resort – ‘The Ideal Resort’, for lunch. After lunch the teams had their good byes and wowed to come back again the next year, with even more exciting and colourful performances.
