2015 saw a record 14 teams & 200+ associates take part in the T20 Championship of Satven Cricket League, which has been popular for a few years now.

This event was held in August 2015 over a span of a couple of weeks; saw some intense battles and the active participation of seniors and the management.

As passionate as the teams were to bring home the trophy, the spirit of the “gentleman’s” game was upheld.

As always plenty of awards were handed out in various individual and team categories.

In collaboration with CII & Dr. Reddy’s Foundation initiative on Continuous Health Education, the Company had organized various health awareness sessions:

• Heart Diseases session on 19th March, 2015
• Cancer awareness session on 19th May, 2015
• Cancer awareness session for ladies on 17th June, 2015
• Diabetes session on 14th July, 2015 (with screening)

In collaboration with CII & DRFHE – Continuous Health Education – 2015, a free healthcare awareness workshop on the topic “Heart Diseases” was conducted on Thursday the 19th March’15 at Gurukul. Dr. Ram Mohan Reddy, Oncologist from Omega Hospital gave an insight on the awareness on Heart Diseases usually people are prone to. Associates were briefed on how to prevent heart diseases through regular checkup and proper diet. About 50 Associates attended the session.

On the eve of Navaratri, Satven celebrated ethnic day followed by an extremely energizing Dandiya night. Associates vying for top honors for the best ethnic wear, turned out in snazzy outfits such as Dhotis, Kurtas, Sherwanis, Sarees, Lehengas, Anarkalies, among others and danced to the tune of Dandiya songs.

The Dandiya dance form originated as devotional Garba dance, which is performed in Goddess Durga’s honor. This dance form is actually the staging of a mock fight between Goddess Durga and Mahishasura, the mighty demon-king. The sticks of the dance represent the sword of Goddess Durga.

All young associates of Satven along with the Management team celebrated Navratri by dancing away their blues (if they had any to start with, that is).

It indeed was a refreshing break for all associates.

Satven’s annual get-together in the Detroit area was held on the 30th of August amidst the serene settings of Firefighters Park, in Troy Michigan.

Rain was forecast for the day but the clouds stayed away for our beautiful Sun to shine through the green leaves of majestic oak trees. The birds started chirping, kids started playing, the ladies started talking and the menfolk of SVES started the barbeque!

This get-together was attended by over 200 people and was a roaring success.
