- Expert-level proficiency in CATIA and Dassault Systems 3DExperience (3DX) platforms, with specific experience in BIW design modules.
- Extensive experience with various CAD modelling techniques, including solid modelling, surface modelling, assembly modelling, and advanced sheet metal design for BIW components.
- Demonstrated experience in BIW CAD assembly decomposition, re-structuring, and block generation, including assembly exploded view creation.
- Strong understanding and practical application of product structure principles within CAD environments, particularly for complex BIW assemblies.
- Proficiency in creating detailed technical drawings from CAD models, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for BIW components.
- Experience in handling positional variabilities in CAD models for effective variant management, especially for BIW.
- Proficiency in managing and compiling complex variant data, ideally using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex BIW CAD structures and their relationship to product features, options, and critical performance attributes (e.g., crash, NVH).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a structured, sequential workflow.
- BIW design and 3DX modelling, including advanced surface, solid, and sheet metal systems
- Experience in the automotive industry with a focus on BIW design or development.
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and their application in BIW development.
- Knowledge of various joining technologies used in BIW (e.g., spot welding, laser welding, riveting, adhesive bonding).
- Understanding of features, options, and variant management principles specific to vehicle body structures.
- Experience with large assembly management and performance optimization in CAD, particularly for BIW assemblies.
- Deep knowledge of vehicle body architecture, BIW manufacturing processes (stamping, welding, assembly), and their implications for CAD design and product structure.
- Knowledge of vehicle coordinate systems (VCS, VSS, etc.) and their application in BIW CAD.
- Basic understanding of CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) results interpretation for BIW (e.g., crash, stiffness, NVH).
