        Job Description:

        Key Responsibilities:

        Project Management:

        • Lead complete project execution for Interior & Exterior Trim systems (Hard trim, Soft Trim, Cockpit, Carpets, bumpers, grills, claddings, wheel arch trims, roof rails, appliqués, moldings, etc.)
        • Develop and manage project timelines, deliverables, gateways, and risk mitigation plans.
        • Drive daily/weekly project reviews with client stakeholders.
        • Ensure timely delivery of engineering and design outputs from offshore/onshore teams

        Technical Ownership:

        • Provide technical guidance on design, engineering, packaging, DFM/DFA/DFS, and material selection for Exterior Trims.
        • Review CAD models, drawings, DFMEA, DVP, validation reports, mold-flow,(MFA & EGP), and tooling feasibility.
        • Support issue resolution for engineering build phases (VP, PP, Tooling trials, Proto build, and SOP).
        • Collaborate with CAE, tooling, manufacturing, and supplier teams to resolve technical challenges.

        Customer & Supplier Coordination:

        • Act as the single point of contact for the client on all Interior & Exterior Trim-related activities.
        • Coordinate with OEM, Tier-1 suppliers, and internal engineering teams for smooth delivery.
        • Ensure clear communication on changes, risks, and technical decisions
        • Ensure project adherence to OEM standards, regulatory guidelines, and quality processes.
        • Maintain project documentation including timelines, open issues list, risk logs, and daily status reports.

        Requirements:

        Technical Skills:

        • Strong expertise in automotive Interior & Exterior Trim components development.
        • Good understanding of materials (plastics, painted/gloss black parts, chrome, TPE, metal inserts).
        • Hands-on knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6, Vis-Mockup) for review and guidance.
        • Familiarity with GD&T, DFMEA, PFMEA, DVP&R, PPAP, APQP, and tolerance stack-up.
        • Good understanding of tooling, injection molding, painting, and assembly processes.

        Project Management Skills:

        • Proven experience leading Interior & Exterior trims programs.
        • Strong documentation, planning, and tracking capabilities.
        • Efficient stakeholder management and conflict resolution.
        • Experience working with global teams (Japan, India, USA, Europe)
        • Strong communication and customer management.
        • Problem-solving approach with a high sense of ownership.
        • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliverables.
        • Proactive, detail-oriented, and structured working style.
