        Job Description:

          The Design and Release Engineer should have minimum 6 to 10 years of working experience and the previous experience of Auto OEM/Tier1 in component and system management must be proven. Especially VW release experience (KVS system) with 3D Experience or Catia V5 skills

        Key Responsibilities:

        • To Handle IP / Console and Interiors Programs in Design and Development.
        • Independently supervises and leads the development from conception to industrialization and releases it for series production.
        • Responsible for QCT (quality, costs, timing).
        • Executes the definition, design, development and release, including sourcing of components according to specifications in accordance with the development process.
        • Drives and controls component development at the supplier and ensures compliance with given quality, timing, cost and performance targets
        • Actively participates in continuous improvements to the product, the product portfolio and the development process.
        • Participate Review meetings with cross functional team and to work with suppliers.
        • General: Makes decisions independently based on guidelines, specifications and within defined processes. In the event of deviations from specified processes, consults with direct colleagues, customers or superiors, in order to define measures that are suitable for achieving the specified targets.
        • Develop & implement cost and Weight reduction strategies.
        • To guarantee Component and assembly design considering DFx (Mfg., Assembly & Serviceability) & DMU activities inside the relevant system
        • Lead change management (Solution, documentation, cost & timing, implementation).
        • Elaborate build issue resolve and root cause analysis, maintain change document and technical solution

        Requirements:

        Required Skills/Experience:
        • Graduated in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
        • Know-how of Catia V5 / V6 CAD Modeling, surfacing & 3D CAD Annotation.
        • Working knowledge of PLM (TCE / Enovia).
        • Excellent experience on Interiors, Cockpit modules including IP and Console plastic components with good knowledge of tooling, joint technologies, materials, stack up FMEA.
        • Very good experience for understanding and implementing DFx (Mfg., Assembly & Serviceability) requirements within the project scope.
        • Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint – Intermediate level.
        • Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally.
        • Partners with senior management to analyze and solve issues.
        • Ability to lead and handle design team and multitask by handling diverse assignments. concurrently.
        • Understanding of engineering theory and principles of design
